Swiss Sheep Farm Hua Hin
A Euro-Themed Sheep Farm Built for Photos

Drive about 30 minutes north of central Hua Hin toward Cha-am and you'll hit a sheep farm that takes its European theme seriously — windmills, wooden barns, a red British phone box, and a flock of fluffy sheep your kids can hand-feed up close. Swiss Sheep Farm is a favorite with families who have young children and with couples who love taking photos: it's easy to walk, there are photo spots everywhere, and it sits right across from Santorini Park, so one stop gets you two places.

Swiss Sheep Farm isn't in central Hua Hin — it's over on the Cha-am side, in Phetchaburi province, about 30–35 minutes from town by car. It sits right on Phetkasem Road, directly across from Santorini Park. It's an animal farm built around a European-meets-Western-countryside theme, set up as photo spots and mixed with hands-on bits where kids can feed and touch real animals. The idea is simple: stroll around at an easy pace, get some nice photos, and let the little ones have fun with the sheep, goats, alpacas, and rabbits.

What's there to see at the Euro-themed sheep farm

Walk in and you'll find a big open garden with European-style buildings spread across different zones. The most photographed spots are the white-and-red windmill, the Western-style wooden barn, the London-red phone box, the strawberry-shaped house, and an old vintage car parked as a prop you can climb on for shots. A small stream and a wooden bridge give the whole place a rural-European look. If you're into pastel backdrops, you can happily shoot here all day.

  • Windmill + wooden barn — the farm's iconic spot, with both in the frame; best shot when the sun isn't too harsh
  • Red British phone box + strawberry house — small, cute corners that couples love for shooting together
  • Vintage car & farm props — old '50s–'60s cars set up as retro photo backdrops
  • 3D Trick Eye museum zone — a small building with wall paintings for playful photos; kids love it

Feeding the sheep & meeting the animals

The bit kids wait for is feeding the animals. The farm has fluffy sheep, goats, alpacas, miniature horses, donkeys, rabbits, chickens, and plenty more. At certain times your ticket comes with a free handful of grass for feeding the sheep. If you want to feed more, you can buy extra grass or a milk bottle for around 20–30 THB a set. The sheep here are pretty tame and will walk right up when they see grass — just tell your kids to hold the grass out flat on an open palm, and not to tease or pull the sheep's wool.

Straight talk

On long weekends it gets very busy, and the sheep are stuffed with grass by mid-morning, so some of them won't be very interested in yours. If you want your kids to feed sheep that are still hungry, go right when it opens (early) — you'll catch a much better window than in the afternoon.

Beyond grass feeding, there are add-on activities charged separately, like horse rides around the farm, horse-drawn carriage rides, and photos with the alpacas or rabbits in dedicated zones. These run around 50–80 THB per activity. None of it is required — just pick whatever your kids actually want to do.

Entry fees & opening hours

Entry fees shift with the season and promotions, but generally run around 100–150 THB for adults and less for kids. Tiny children (under 80 cm tall) usually get in free. Some tickets include a grass coupon for feeding the sheep. Check the price again for the day you're going, since long weekends and high season can push it up.

  • Opening hours — Mon–Fri around 10:00–19:00 · Sat–Sun around 9:00–19:00
  • Approximate entry — adults around 100–150 THB · kids cheaper · little ones under 80 cm usually free
  • Grass / milk bottle for feeding — around 20–30 THB a set (some tickets include 1 free handful of grass)
  • Add-on activities — horse ride / carriage / photos with alpacas, around 50–80 THB each

Getting to Swiss Sheep Farm

The farm is on Phetkasem Road on the Cha-am side, about 32 km from central Hua Hin — roughly a 30–35 minute drive. Coming from Bangkok, it's a little over 2 hours. The easiest way is to drive yourself, since there's a big parking lot and the farm is outside town where public transport doesn't reach easily.

Recommended

Drive yourself / rent a car

The most convenient option, with plenty of parking. You can easily carry on to Santorini Park and Camel Republic next door.

No car

Taxi / private car

Charter a car from central Hua Hin and back, and ask the driver to wait — flagging a ride back yourself is tough out here, away from town.

Plan it to get your money's worth

Swiss Sheep Farm sits across from Santorini Park and within walking distance of Camel Republic. Plan to hit all three in one day — it saves on transport and makes the drive out of town well worth it.

Tips for families & couples to enjoy it more

  • Go early or late afternoon — midday sun is harsh and hot, and young kids tire easily; morning and evening light is softer and better for photos
  • Bring sun protection & water — the farm is open and exposed with little shade, so a hat and sunscreen go a long way
  • Wear comfy walking shoes — the ground is sand, grass, and dirt in places; photo-loving couples will move more easily skipping the heels
  • Allow 1.5–2 hours — that's about right to hit every photo spot and feed the animals without rushing
  • There's a café & snacks on site — a spot to rest in the shade and grab the kids an ice cream before carrying on

Who it's best for

This place is most fun for families with young kids, since you get to feed the animals up close, and for photo-loving couples who like the pastel European theme. If you come as a group of teens or adults only, you may feel you've covered it quickly — it's mainly about the photos.
