If you drive up to Khao Yai along the Mittraphap road, you'll pass the Farm Chokchai signs around the km 159–160 mark, just before you reach Pak Chong town. The place has run for decades as a real working dairy farm, and only later opened a tourism side so visitors could learn what farm life is actually like. The draw is that kids get to do things themselves, not just walk around and look — from milking a cow to feeding the sheep, all the way to sitting and watching cowboys ride horses in a real arena.
The farm splits into two main zones: the Farm Tour zone, which you enter on a timed ticketed tour, and the Farmsuk zone out front, which is free to enter and has restaurants, an ice cream shop, a kids' play area and photo spots. If you're short on time you can just stop at Farmsuk, but for the full experience it's worth setting aside time for the tour.
Tour times, prices and opening hours
The Farmsuk zone out front is free. Going inside the farm comes in two options. The prices you'll see most often these days are roughly a tractor-train farm tour at about 140 THB for adults and 100 THB for children (90–140 cm tall), or driving your own car around the inner farm at about 120 THB for adults and 70 THB for children. Activities at each stop are paid separately, for example cow milking around 50 THB, a horse ride around 50 THB per turn, and a set of three handfuls of sheep feed around 100 THB. All of these are approximate — check on site or on the farm's page again, as prices shift with the season and promotions.
- Open Monday–Friday roughly 09:30–16:30.
- Saturday–Sunday / public holidays roughly 09:00–17:00, with far more frequent tour departures than on weekdays.
- Tractor train mostly runs about every 30 minutes on weekends and holidays only; on weekdays there are fewer departures.
- One tour takes about 1 hour 45 minutes, since it stops at several points around the farm.
Booking-ahead tip
Long weekends get very busy — tours fill up fast and the queues are long. If you're planning a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, book your tickets several days ahead (a lot of people suggest leaving at least 7 days), or get there right at opening so you catch a morning tour before the sun gets harsh.

Farm activities that kids love
The charm of Farm Chokchai is getting to do things for real, not just stand and watch. The tour stops at several points, each with an activity and a decent amount of time to enjoy it. Little kids who've never been up close to a cow or a sheep tend to get especially excited.
Milking a cow by hand
A big hit with kids — staff show you how to hold and milk, and you get to touch a real dairy cow up close. Around 50 THB extra.
Feeding the sheep and farm animals
Buy a set of grass or feed and feed the sheep and cows up close — the flock walks right over to you. Kids love it.
Horse rides around the arena
Horses for kids and adults to ride in turns, with a handler leading and looking after you. Around 50 THB per turn.
Tractor train / driving around the farm
Take in the wide pastures, the herds of cows and sheep, and pretty photo spots along the way through the real working farm.
The cowboy show, the farm's highlight
Farm Chokchai is known for its cowboy theme, and one of the highlights is the cowboy show, run at set times. It mixes horse riding, skill displays and a bit of comedy for the whole family to watch. You can usually catch it as part of the tour with no extra charge. Check the show schedule on site, since the times are fixed — if you want to see it, plan your timing to make a session.
Plan for sun and rain
A lot of the stops are open-air arenas, and the midday sun is strong, so bring a hat, sunglasses and water. In the rainy season the ground can get slippery and muddy, so shoes with good grip are safer — especially when you've got kids along.
The steakhouse and fresh-milk ice cream
After the farm you'll want to eat, and the front zone has two standouts. First is Chokchai Steakhouse, the farm group's steak restaurant that uses beef from the farm. The menu runs from affordable everyday plates to premium steaks in the thousand-baht range for anyone who wants to go all out. Weekends get busy, so leave time to wait for a table.
Second is Umm!..Milk fresh-milk ice cream, made from the farm's own milk — dense, with a clear milky flavour. It's a dessert to end the trip that kids and adults like equally. There's ice cream, pasteurised fresh milk, and Umm!..Milk-branded gifts to take home from the shop out front.
- Chokchai Steakhouse — farm-raised steak across several price points, good for a big family celebration meal.
- Umm!..Milk ice cream — house-made fresh-milk ice cream with a clear milky flavour, easy on the wallet and easy to eat as you walk.
- Farm Chokchai gift shop — fresh milk, dairy products and farm-branded souvenirs to take home.

Getting there and what to know
- Location — on the Mittraphap road (Highway 2) in the Pak Chong stretch, before the town centre. The Farm Chokchai signs are clear, and there's plenty of parking.
- From Bangkok — about a 2.5–3 hour drive via the motorway onto the Mittraphap road. Easiest if you have your own car.
- If you carry on into Khao Yai National Park — the park roads are winding and wildlife crosses often, so drive slowly, keep your lights on, and take extra care at dawn and dusk.
- The Khao Yai park entry fee is separate from the farm ticket: 40 THB for Thai adults, 20 THB for children, plus a vehicle fee; foreigners pay more. Bring cash just in case.
- On long weekends traffic builds up around Pak Chong and accommodation fills fast — if you're staying overnight, book ahead.
