The nice thing about taking kids around Pathum Thani is that you can plan by the weather. On a scorching or rainy day you duck into a museum or an indoor playground; on a clear day you head out to an animal-feeding farm or tackle the outdoor theme park. Most of the kid-friendly spots cluster in two areas — Rangsit–Thanyaburi (theme park, malls, indoor playgrounds) and Khlong Luang–Khlong Ha (big museums, learning farms) — and they're a short drive apart. The easiest plan is to stay indoors through the harsh midday sun, then head outdoors in the evening.
Theme Park — Big Rides, an All-Day Outing
Ask anyone about a theme park in Pathum Thani and Dream World is the first name they'll say. It's the anchor that many families set aside a whole day for, so budget a full day — there are plenty of rides and it's a lot of fun walking around.
Dream World
A large theme park on the Rangsit–Ongkharak road at km 7, in the Bueng Yitho area, with rides for every age — from thrill rides like the Sky Coaster and a log flume to a fairy-tale photo zone for little ones. Kids especially love Snow Town, where you can go in and play in real and artificial snow. The main ticket right now is the Super Visa Pass, which gives you unlimited rides on everything, and the live shows usually run in the afternoons on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
Theme park tips
Get there before opening so you can queue for the popular rides before the crowds, and if you're heading into Snow Town, bring a jacket or rent one on-site — it really is cold inside. With young kids, take breaks in stretches rather than powering through the whole day in one go.

Booking online ahead on Klook or GetYourGuide is usually cheaper than the gate and skips the queue. Pick only the experiences you actually want — prices and availability are shown live on each site.
Hands-on Museums — Fun That Teaches Something
Pathum Thani has some of the best learning museums near Bangkok, because they're the press-buttons, run-experiments, touch-everything kind rather than just glass cases to stare at. School-age kids can stay for ages without getting bored, and it's easy to stay out of the sun and rain.
National Science Museum (NSM) Khlong Ha
Several buildings on one site — a science museum, a natural history museum and an information technology museum — all hands-on and interactive. There's a dinosaur zone and animal skeletons that kids love, and you can easily fill most of a day here.
The Golden Jubilee Museum of Agriculture (Wisdom King)
A learning centre on royally-initiated agriculture, with interactive indoor exhibits and outdoor plots where kids can walk past rice paddies, see farm animals and watch rice farming. It's a spot where you get both the learning and the running-around outdoors, sitting across from Karunvej Nava Nakorn Hospital.
Museum tips
Both museums are closed on Mondays, and weekday closing times differ from weekend ones, so check the latest opening hours before you leave home every time. NSM has several buildings and the combined ticket covers them all on one pass, so leave time to walk between buildings too.
Indoor Playgrounds — Rain or Shine, the Kids Can Still Play
On a day when the weather doesn't cooperate, an indoor playground in one of the Rangsit malls is the answer. Toddlers up to primary-school kids can play, parents get to sit and rest in the mall, and you can finish off with a meal in the same place — no need to move on.
MEGA HarborLand, Future Park Rangsit
A large indoor playground on the 3rd floor of Future Park Rangsit, more than 6,500 square metres, with slides, a zipline, a ball pit and climbing zones on a space theme. Toddlers up to primary-school kids can play, with sessions of around 2.5 hours.
Indoor play tips
Entry to indoor playgrounds is priced by the child's height and age, and adults going in to supervise pay a separate rate (roughly 480 THB per child and 180 THB per adult per session). Some days there's an evening promo after 6pm with a lower price, so going in the evening can work out better value. Bring anti-slip socks too, as many zones require them.
Farms & Animal Cafes — Feeding Animals Close to Bangkok
If your kids love animals, Pathum Thani has several farm-style cafes and mini zoos where you can feed the animals up close. Most are free to enter or just charge for animal food, so parents can sip a coffee while the kids run around feeding rabbits and sheep. It's a low-key activity that doesn't take long, but kids love it.
- Bangpan Farm Rak Cafe & Farm (Soi Wat Sadet, Suan Phrik Thai, Mueang district) — a farm-style cafe and mini zoo, free to enter, with rabbits, sheep, fish, turtles, iguanas and a large aviary; you can feed the animals in every zone. Open 09:00–19:00, closed Wednesdays.
- A Cup of Zoo Cafe (Khlong Hok, Khlong Luang district) — a homey animal cafe with dogs, cats, goats, geese and birds; you can feed them and take photos with them. Open 10:00–19:00, closed Tuesdays.
- The animal zone at the Golden Jubilee Museum of Agriculture — if you're more into the learning angle, this one has both rice paddies and farm animals for the kids to see alongside the exhibits.
Farm visit tips
Farm cafes and mini zoos are small businesses that change their opening days and hours often, and some close for renovations now and then, so check their latest page before you drive over every time. Mornings or evenings, when the sun isn't harsh, are when the animals are livelier and the kids have more fun. And don't forget to bring hand sanitiser for after feeding the animals.
How to Plan a Day Out With the Kids
Making a kids' day out work means building in rest time and planning around the weather. We've laid out two plans — just pick the one that suits your kids' ages and the weather that day.
Theme Park + Museum (Full Day)
Learning + Animal Farm (Full Day)
Getting around
Taking kids around Pathum Thani is easiest with your own car, because you've got things to haul — a stroller, snacks for the kids — and you can move between spots freely. If you don't have a car, the Red Line (Krung Thep Aphiwat–Rangsit) gets you to the Rangsit area and Future Park, and from there you take a taxi or a hired ride to the nearby spots. Dream World and the Khlong Ha museum need another connection on top of that.
