If you're in Kamphaeng Phet and want something easy on the legs — no long walks, no climbing — Phra Ruang Hot Spring is the simplest answer. It's a natural hot spring with water rising from underground at 5 points, around 40–65°C, looked after by the Kamphaeng Phet Provincial Administrative Organization. The grounds are laid out as a shady garden of about 15 rai (roughly 2.4 hectares), surrounded by farmland and scrub forest. It's quiet and never as crowded as the famous hot springs up north.
The bamboo foot-soak benches are the highlight
The star here is the foot-soak area. They've built a long, warm mineral-water channel with bamboo benches lined up alongside, so you can sit and dangle your legs in. There's a roof for shade, so it's comfortable even when the sun is blazing. This part is free, and it's something everyone can do — parents with kids, older folks, or anyone who's driven a long way and has tired legs. Sit and soak for 15–20 minutes and your legs really do feel lighter afterward.
Tip
The water is hotter at the head of the channel than at the far end. If it's too hot to handle, move down toward the tail end, or lift your feet out to rest in between. Don't force a long soak in one go, since the mineral water gets quite hot.

Booking online ahead on Klook or GetYourGuide is usually cheaper than the gate and skips the queue. Pick only the experiences you actually want — prices and availability are shown live on each site.
Mineral baths, steam room, and massage
Beyond the free foot soak, if you want a proper full soak there are private mineral bath rooms to rent, plus a Thai massage area offering body massage, foot massage, herbal compress massage, and an herbal steam room. It's good for anyone who wants to relax a bit more seriously. The prices below are based on the provincial organization's information and run roughly as follows.

The prices above are for reference and may change depending on the time of year, so it's worth checking with their page or the staff on site again, especially if you're going as a group or want to book a massage course.
Getting there — closer to town than you'd think
Phra Ruang Hot Spring is in Ban Lan Hin, Lan Dok Mai subdistrict, Mueang district, about 20-plus kilometers from the center of Kamphaeng Phet — roughly a 20–30 minute drive. The main route is to head out of town along the Kamphaeng Phet–Sukhothai road, then turn off at the junction following the signs for a few more kilometers. The access road is in good shape and a regular sedan handles it easily, with a wide parking area.
- Kamphaeng Phet–Sukhothai road — head north out of town ~18 km, then turn left and continue ~7 km, about 25 km in total.
- Nong Pling–Tha Mai Daeng road — an alternative; the turnoff is ~21 km from town, then a right turn for another ~5 km.
- No car — you can hire a motorbike taxi or a car from town, but most people drive themselves or rent a vehicle, since there's no public bus that goes directly to the spot.
A natural stop on the way to Khlong Lan
The reason a lot of people stop at Phra Ruang Hot Spring isn't just that it's near town — it's that it sits on the western side of the province, the same direction you'd drive out to Khlong Lan. That makes it a great first break of the day: soak your feet in the late morning, grab a coffee, then keep driving on to Khlong Lan National Park to see the waterfalls. It makes a day trip flow a lot more smoothly, and you don't have to wake up super early to still fit everything in.
Plan the order well
If you're heading to Khlong Lan too, stop at the hot spring on the way "out" in the late morning, then continue to Khlong Lan around midday to early afternoon. The hot spring closes at 17:00, and the waterfalls in the park are prettier and safer to visit during the day than late in the afternoon.
Eating, drinking, and staying here
There's a fresh-coffee and made-to-order food stand on the grounds, so you won't go hungry, and there are provincial guest houses you can rent overnight if you want to sleep somewhere quiet in the garden. The small and large units are priced differently, and they suit families or groups of friends who want to wake up and soak in the mineral water before anyone else. That said, most visitors come for a day trip, since town is close by and has far more places to stay.
Coffee + food at the entrance
The building by the junction has fresh coffee and made-to-order food — a good spot to refuel before or after your foot soak.
Provincial guest houses
Houses to rent overnight in the garden, small and large units, good for groups who want to sleep close to the spring.
