Prachinburi isn't just Khao Yai on one side and the Abhaibhubejhr herbal town. Over the last few years, new cafes have spread across the Noen Hom area (the stretch before you climb up to Khao Yai) and Si Maha Phot district, which throw in views of Khao I-To and wide open fields for free. Over on the other side of the province, Kabin Buri district still holds the charm of an old town along the railway, with a century-old market to wander through. This plan ties those two moods together across 2 days.
Who it's for: people who drive their own car or rent one, like cafes, photos, and easygoing town strolls rather than serious hiking. Without your own car it gets tricky, because the cafes are spread out and public transport in the province is limited.
Day one: working through the mountain-view cafes around Noen Hom–Si Maha Phot
Day one focuses on the Prachinburi town–Si Maha Phot zone, the side closest to Khao Yai and Khao I-To. Most cafes around here get a mountain backdrop. One thing to know: some spots (like Myrrh) used to open only on weekends but are now open daily — still, always check the cafe's page before you set off.
Mountain-view cafes + Prachinburi town
A tip about opening hours
A lot of the cafes set in nature around here open only Friday–Sunday and on public holidays. Go on a weekday and you may find them closed. Open each cafe's Facebook page or Google Maps to check their days before you drive out, every single time.
Book the activities in your Prachinburi trip ahead
Booking online ahead on Klook or GetYourGuide is usually cheaper than the gate and skips the queue. Pick only the experiences you actually want — prices and availability are shown live on each site.
Mountain-view and nature cafes people like to visit
If you have time to spare or want to adjust the plan yourself, these are the cafes on the Prachinburi–Si Maha Phot side with a natural setting and mountain views. We've ordered them by how well they fit the "mountain view + sit and relax" theme, not ranked which is better than which, because each one has a different vibe.
Myrrh Cafe
A white-toned cafe in a garden around Noen Hom. The highlight is the rooftop with a 360-degree view that puts Khao I-To right in front of you. There's a garden zone, an air-conditioned zone, and it's pet friendly. Standout drinks are the Thai tea with coconut cream and the house blended drinks.
Compass Coffee Roasters (304)
A real coffee-lover's spot in Si Maha Phot that roasts its own beans and leans on the coffee more than the photo scene. Good if you want to sip a quiet drip.
Craftel Cafe
A train-themed cafe in Si Maha Phot with stylish decor and plenty of photo corners — good for people who like cafes with a strong design.
BREW CAMP 304
An outdoor camp-style cafe with a relaxed, open-air feel in nature. Good for anyone who likes airy, uncrowded surroundings.
Into The Wild
A nature-themed cafe on the Prachantakham side, shady and green. A good stop along the way if you're looping out that direction.
The Forest Cafe1
A forest-concept cafe with plenty of trees and greenery. Good for anyone who wants to escape the bustle and sit somewhere quiet.
Day two: a slow walk through the old town of Kabin Buri
Day two trades the mountain-view cafes for an old town. Kabin Buri is on the other side of the province, about 40–50 minutes' drive from Prachinburi town. The draw is the old market quarter along the railway that was settled around a century ago — an easy place to wander, with old wooden buildings, Kum Market, and local cafes tucked in between.

If you want to add a water view
With a spare half day, try driving out to Nuetbodindra Chinda Reservoir (Huai Samong), the largest reservoir in the province, with a long stretch of dam views — good for laying out a mat for a picnic and taking photos. But it's farther out, so allow extra driving time.
Cafes in Kabin Buri town worth a stop
If you want more cafe time on day two while you walk the town, Kabin Buri has several cute local spots. Most are small, owner-run places with an easygoing vibe.
Baan Mae Cafe
A woodwork-style cafe in Mueang Kao subdistrict with a wooden boardwalk for a nature stroll and homemade one-plate dishes. Open Thursday–Tuesday, closed Wednesday.
O'Mill
A family cafe behind Global House Kabin Buri, with DIY painting and bead-stringing activities on weekends. Open 09:00–20:00, closed Tuesday.
So Jaeng Slow Bar
A small slow bar in Kabin Buri, good for people who like coffee brewed unhurried, with a chilled-out feel.
Before you go
- Own car / rental — this plan spreads across several districts, so a car is by far the smoothest option. Public transport in the province is limited.
- Check opening days — some nature cafes open only on weekends; Baan Mae Cafe closes Wednesday and O'Mill closes Tuesday. Always check the page first.
- Best time to go — late rainy to early cool season (Nov–Feb) brings good weather, clear green mountain views, and rooftop cafes that aren't too hot.
- Allow travel time — Prachinburi town to Kabin Buri is about 40–50 minutes, and Huai Samong needs even more on top of that.
