Dry Wave Cocktail Studio opened in Thonglor in early 2024 and, within its first full year, landed at No.5 on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2025 along with the Disaronno Highest New Entry Award for the highest-placed newcomer. The year before, it had already picked up the Campari One To Watch Award. Behind it is Supawit 'Palm' Muttarattana, a bartender who cut his teeth at Vesper and Backstage, working alongside his wife and co-creator Niwarin 'Ae' Phlainoi.

The whole idea here is the 'Super Classic' menu: take two beloved cocktails from different eras and fuse them into one. The signature 1806-1988 collides the depth of a bourbon Old Fashioned with the citrus snap of a Cosmopolitan, so it tastes both familiar and brand new. Another favourite, the Mama Spritz, blends a Mami Taylor with a Lucien Gaudin and rounds it out with Timur berry, kumquat soda and ginger for a spicy, fresh finish. Every glass is precise, and the balance between boozy and citrusy is exactly where it should be.

The room is restrained but cinematic: sandstone walls rippled like waves to echo the name, terracotta marble surfaces, and an outdoor terrace wrapped around a mature tree. You will find it on the second floor of the SODALITY building on Thong Lo Soi 13, an easy hop from BTS Thong Lo and into the alley. Cocktails run roughly 450 to 600 baht and up, and booking ahead is smart since seats are limited and it has been busy since the ranking.
