G.O.D stands for Genius On Drugs, and it debuted at No.26 on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2025 in its very first year on the list. You will find it on Soi Nana in Chinatown, the street Bangkok's cocktail crowd talks about most, where the door handle is a cocktail shaker. Step inside and the room reveals itself: graffitied stone walls, a stained-glass panel, red light washing over everything, and on most nights a live pianist playing brooding baroque through restored Altec A6 cinema speakers. Bartenders in waistcoats and suspenders work with real precision against that rough, cinematic backdrop. The space took three years to build, fusing two abandoned shophouses into one.

The drink to order is the Uni Martini, a slushy, ice-cold martini served with a Japanese sea urchin and a smoked olive, a signature that captures the fearless streak of owner Niks Anuman-Rajadhon, one of Thailand's most influential cocktail names. The Oyster Martini is the other one to try, and the menu splits into oyster drinks, uni drinks, and a chapter called excessive is necessary, home to the 4 Cheezus that blends pecorino distillate with Madeira wine, mozzarella water, gin and wild honey. The clever part: nearly every glass arrives with a bite built to match it, from ikura bombs to ramen spheres to truffle chicharron, so the whole night plays out like theatre.

Niks and his partners helped turn Soi Nana into a bar district, with five rooms in the area including Teens of Thailand and Asia Today, and G.O.D is their most ambitious yet. Getting there is easy: take the MRT to Wat Mangkon station and walk into Soi Nana. Cocktails run roughly 400 to 550 THB a glass. Seats are limited and fill fast, so book ahead through the bar.
