Behind it is Rabbit Hole, a three-storey cocktail bar that has been a fixture on Asia's 50 Best Bars since 2018 and climbed to No.31 in 2020. Inside, Alice's rabbit hole is reimagined as a Bangkok speakeasy: exposed brick meeting marble counters, dim light, heavy velvet, and the occasional mural that could have wandered in from Wonderland. Head upstairs and it turns quieter and more private with every floor.
The heart of the place is a menu that keeps reinventing itself. The current book runs on a Crossword concept, sixteen signature cocktails each tied to a world capital, so working through the list feels like a passport stamped in flavours from one city to the next. It is led by head bartender Noppasate 'Depp' Hirunwathit and his team, and the making is precise enough to keep Rabbit Hole in the serious-bar conversation year after year. Tell the bartender what you love, sharp and citrusy, bitter, spirit-forward, and they will match you a glass on the spot.
Rabbit Hole sits in the middle of Thonglor, one of the liveliest eating-and-drinking neighbourhoods in the city. You can walk from BTS Thong Lo, though the bar is a fair way up the road, so a motorbike taxi or a car is easier. It suits a night when you want a well-made cocktail in a good-looking room, a small group or a low-key date. Weekends get busy, so booking ahead is the safer move, especially if you want a table on one of the upper floors.
