If you're coming to Khao Yai with kids — or you just want something more active than another café and sheep farm — Scenical World covers a lot of ground in one place. It sits on Thanarat Road around the km 19.5 mark, before the Khao Yai National Park checkpoint. The site spans more than 80 rai (about 13 hectares), split into a waterpark, a theme park, a kids' zone and a shopping area, all laid out across a slope that looks out onto the Khao Yai mountains.
The upside is you can easily spend a full day here. The thing to know upfront is that tickets aren't cheap and they're priced per zone. We've broken down the real prices below.
Four main zones in one place
Scenical World is divided into four big zones, each ticketed separately. You can buy just the zones you want — no need to pay for the whole lot.
Splash World (waterpark)
A large waterpark with more than 15 slides, a wave pool, a lazy river and a shallow kids' play area. The standout is the Splash Coaster, a slide of roughly 195 metres that's billed as the longest in Thailand.
Life Park (theme park)
Over 20 imported rides, including a Ferris wheel, a swing carousel, bumper cars and thrill rides like the GX-Swing. Good for teens and adults who like the intense stuff.
Carnival / Mid West (kids' zone)
Around 7 gentle rides for younger kids — a carousel, spinning teacups, a mini train. Little ones can ride here more comfortably than mixing in with the bigger attractions.
Greenery Park Mall (shopping)
A zone with restaurants, snacks and souvenirs in a Western theme. A handy spot to sit and grab a meal during the day, and you don't need a ticket to enter.

Booking online ahead on Klook or GetYourGuide is usually cheaper than the gate and skips the queue. Pick only the experiences you actually want — prices and availability are shown live on each site.
Ticket prices (latest update)
Prices are charged per zone. The figures below are approximate, based on what's shown on booking channels around 2025–2026. Double-check the official page or LINE account @Scenicalworld before you go, since promotions and holiday-season pricing can change.
Splash World (waterpark)
A ticket that covers every slide in the waterpark zone. Best value if you plan to spend the whole day in the water. Kids under about 90 cm tall usually get in free.
Life Park (theme park)
A ticket for the rides in the theme park zone. At times it works as an entry fee with separate per-ride tickets on top, so ask about the package clearly when you arrive.
Carnival / Mid West (kids' zone)
A good fit if you're with younger kids and skipping the intense rides. Cheaper than the other zones.
Straight talk on hidden costs
Beyond the entry tickets, there are extra costs plenty of people forget — a locker runs around 150 THB, a towel around 100 THB, and a private poolside cabana roughly 1,200–1,500 THB per day. Food inside the waterpark costs more than outside, so if you're watching the budget, set aside some money for this from the start.
Mountain views and photo spots
What sets Scenical World apart from a city waterpark is the location. The waterpark and theme park sit on a slope with an almost 360-degree outlook over the surrounding Khao Yai mountains. The higher points in the waterpark zone and rides like the Ferris wheel give you the clearest mountain backdrop — best photographed in the morning when the sky is clear and it isn't too hot yet.
About the skywalk — the honest version
A lot of people assume there's a glass skywalk here like at other places, but the real selling point is the 360-degree mountain view from the elevated ground and raised walkways around the park, not a clear glass bridge. If you're specifically after a glass skywalk, you may want to pair this with another Khao Yai viewpoint.

Khao Yai viewpoints guide →How family-friendly is it?
The strength here for families is that there's something for every age. Younger kids head to the Carnival zone with its gentle rides, teens and adults take on Life Park and the waterpark, and anyone who'd rather not ride can relax in the mall zone — all without much walking between them.
- Young kids — the Carnival zone has gentle rides, and the kids' pool in the waterpark is shallow and safer.
- Teens / thrill-seeking adults — the Splash Coaster, GX-Swing and the intense rides in Life Park.
- Seniors — there are discounted tickets, and you can rest in the mall zone or take in the mountain views at an easy pace.
- Bigger groups — rent a poolside cabana as a base to drop your things and rest throughout the day.
Family tip
If you're with young kids, start at the waterpark or the kids' zone in the morning while it's cooler and less crowded, break for lunch in the air-conditioned mall zone, then come back to play in the late afternoon once the sun has softened.
Opening hours and getting there
- Hours — roughly 10:00–18:00. Closed Wednesdays (open Thursday–Tuesday). Check before you go, as holidays may shift the hours.
- Location — 777 Moo 5, Thanarat Road, around the km 19.5 mark, Mu Si subdistrict, Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima.
- From Bangkok — about a 2.5–3 hour drive, through Pak Chong and up Thanarat Road heading toward the Khao Yai park checkpoint.
- Parking — there's an on-site lot, but on long weekends it gets crowded and fills up fast, so allow extra time to find a space.
Driving on Thanarat Road
Thanarat Road is a mountain climb with curves and steep stretches. Drive slowly and watch for motorbikes and tourists crossing on foot. Near the park checkpoint, wildlife sometimes crosses the road, and if you continue into the national park you'll need to drive especially slowly.
What to know before you go (honest notes)
- Hot with little shade — plenty of real reviews mention the strong sun and lack of shade. Bring a hat and sunscreen, and drink water often.
- Pricey — this comes up a lot: tickets, food and add-on ride fees all add up, so budget for the total.
- Some zones close on weekdays — on weekdays, certain rides and shops may not all be open. If you're coming for one thing in particular, call ahead to check.
- Crowded on holidays — weekends and long holidays get packed, with long queues and busy pools. Weekdays are much more relaxed.
- Water quality — during busy periods, some reviews say the pool water looks cloudier than usual. Going in the morning or on a quieter day makes for a more comfortable swim.
