The cabaret show is one of the oldest forms of entertainment in Pattaya. It's a stage production that mixes dance, lip-sync to famous songs, elaborate costumes, big sets, and a full lights-and-sound package, performed by transgender performers. One thing a lot of people get wrong is assuming it's an adults-only show, when in fact Pattaya's big cabaret theatres are family entertainment, with no nudity, and perfectly fine to bring kids and grandparents to. It's a completely different world from the Walking Street side of town.
The Two Big Theatres — How They Differ
Pattaya has two big-name cabaret theatres that everyone knows. Both are on Pattaya 2nd Road, not far apart, but their styles are clearly different. Just pick the one that suits your taste and who you're going with.
Tiffany's Show
Pattaya's first cabaret theatre, open since 1974. Known for its big sets, luxe costumes, and Broadway-style numbers, it leans into glamour and spectacle. It's also the host venue for Miss Tiffany Universe, the transgender pageant broadcast on Thai TV every year.
Alcazar Show
Another legendary theatre on 2nd Road, known for familiar pop hits, a fun storyline that plays out like stage theatre, fast pacing, and bold colour. A good pick if you want a high-energy show that's fun start to finish.
The short version: if you love Broadway-style glamour with a focus on big sets and gorgeous costumes, go with Tiffany. If you want a fun, fast-paced show with a continuous storyline like a musical, go with Alcazar. The production quality at both is neck and neck, and plenty of repeat visitors end up seeing both just to compare for themselves.
Want more out of Pattaya? Book tours & activities
Booking online ahead on Klook or GetYourGuide is usually cheaper than the gate and skips the queue. Pick only the experiences you actually want — prices and availability are shown live on each site.
Ticket Prices and Showtimes
Both theatres are open daily with several shows a night, and each show runs about 70–75 minutes. Tickets come in several seating tiers. To be straight with you: prices at the box office out front are usually higher than booking online in advance, so it's worth checking rates on a booking platform before you go to save money.
- Tiffany Show — shows at 18:00 / 19:30 / 21:00 daily. Tickets start around 949 THB and up, split into Mezzanine / VIP / VIP Gold / VIP Diamond seating zones; the closer to the stage, the pricier. Kids up to 100 cm tall get in free.
- Alcazar Show — shows at 17:00 / 18:30 / 20:00 / 21:30 daily. Tickets are split into Standard / VIP / VVIP; VIP and up usually include a drink and seats closer to the stage. Small kids can sit on an adult's lap for free, but if you want them to have a seat you'll need to buy a ticket.
- Prices swing with the season — during high season and long holidays, prices climb and the good seats sell out fast, so book several days ahead.
How to Book for the Best Value
Box-office prices out front are usually higher than online rates. Booking ahead through a tour platform gets you cheaper tickets and lets you choose your seat. Some packages even include hotel pickup and drop-off from hotels in central Pattaya, which is handy and good value if you don't have your own transport. Just double-check which seating zone the price covers, because the very back rows and the front-of-stage zones are worlds apart.
Can You Bring Kids and Family?
Absolutely, and this is the point I really want to stress, because so many people get it wrong. Both of the big cabaret theatres are family shows, with no nudity or adult content. The costumes can be a bit sparkly and flashy in true stage fashion, but overall you can bring parents, grandparents, and kids and the whole family will enjoy it. Most kids love it for the bold colour and fun music.
- No minimum age — though very young kids might be startled by the loud music and flashing lights, so use your judgement based on your child's age.
- The show is in an air-conditioned theatre — comfortable seating, not hot, great for older relatives. At about 70–75 minutes it's just the right length, not too long for kids.
- It works across languages — the music and performance are universal, so there's no need to worry about language. Everyone can enjoy it the same.
About Photos After the Show
When the show ends, the performers come out and stand in front of the theatre for photos. It's worth knowing this is a tipping custom (around 40–100 THB per person per photo). If you'd rather not take a photo, you can just walk past, nobody forces you. But if you do take one, have some small bills ready for tips so you're not caught out.
Location and Getting There
Both theatres are on Pattaya 2nd Road on the north side of town, close together, easy to reach, and right in the city, so you don't have to head out far.
- Tiffany Show — 464 Moo 9, Pattaya 2nd Road. The theatre is in the North Pattaya area and has a parking lot out front.
- Alcazar Show — 78/14 Moo 9, Pattaya 2nd Road, a few hundred metres from Tiffany; you can walk between the two.
- Songthaew (red baht bus) — take the Pattaya 2nd Road line and get off right in front of the theatre. Fares around town are about 10–20 THB per person.
- Taxi / Grab / motorbike taxi — you can be dropped right at the door, handy if you're bringing older relatives or coming as a group.
Planning Your Show Night
A cabaret show is best slotted in as an early-evening activity, since showtimes start anywhere from around 17:00 to 21:00, leaving you time for something else afterward. Here's one way to plan the night.
Plan a Cabaret Show Night
Enjoy Pattaya Nightlife with Your Wits About You
The Walking Street side and the nightlife district aren't far from the theatres. If you carry on into the night, watch your valuables, don't carry more cash or important items than you need, keep an eye on your bag in crowds, and be wary of touts steering you into bars that overcharge for drinks. The cabaret show itself is a safe family activity, so keeping these two worlds in separate parts of the night tends to work out better.
