Uttaradit's cafe scene splits neatly into two zones. The first is in town, around Tha It, Pa Sao and Tha Sao — these are the spots for getting work done, meeting friends, or finding a good photo corner. Several roast their own beans and have baristas who take it seriously. The other zone is by Sirikit Dam in Tha Pla district, about an hour's drive out of town — riverside cafes right on the Nan River with full water-and-mountain views. We've ordered them by which occasion they suit, not by some fixed better-or-worse ranking, because each one is good in its own way.
Cafes in central Uttaradit
If you're staying in town or just passing through, this group is the easiest to reach. Most are within a 10-minute drive of the center, open from morning to evening, and work just as well for people getting things done as for those hunting a relaxed photo spot.
Kamin Dessert Cafe
A semi co-working cafe in the Tha It area, nicely decorated with a balanced mix of Thai and Western touches and plenty of corners to choose from. The highlight is specialty coffee made by baristas who clearly care, and the dessert side is strong too — cheesecake and homemade bakes. It's the kind of place you can settle into for hours, whether you're working or talking shop.
L R A W's LIT
A specialty spot that roasts its own beans in-house. If you want to try a single origin or a serious extraction, this is your place. The vibe is plain and pared-back, putting the coffee itself ahead of flashy decor — best for people who come mainly to drink good coffee.
Nippon Cafe
A Japanese-style cafe in the Pa Sao area, right by the water, with both indoor and outdoor seating and cute photo corners. Pets are welcome. Beyond drinks there's bakery and snacks, making it a good pick for an unhurried afternoon sit.
NANA FiELD cafe and cabin
A cafe set among green rice fields in the Pha Chuk area, with wide-open views of the fields and sky. Good for anyone who likes airy, open surroundings and nature-style photo corners. There's homemade bakery and snacks too. It's a little outside town, but the view makes the drive worth it.
Chu Cafe
A well-designed cafe in town that reviewers praise for the decor, the coffee, and the food alike. It's an all-rounder that works whether you come solo or with a group — a good fit if you want one place that does both drinks and proper food.
Himmon Drip Coffee
A warm, roadside wooden-house cafe focused on drip coffee from its own roasted beans, with bakery to go alongside. The mood is simple and homey — good for people who like a slow drip and don't want a place that's too crowded.
Tips for picking a cafe in town
If you're settling in to work for a long stretch, go for Kamin or Chu Cafe — plenty of corners and enough outlets. If you're here for serious, good coffee, L R A W's LIT and Himmon (both roast/drip their own) do it better. And for nature-view photos, drive out to NANA FiELD.

Cafes by Sirikit Dam
If you're already heading to Sirikit Dam in Tha Pla district, there are cafes along the Nan River nearby with water-and-mountain views that the in-town spots simply can't match. The much-talked-about spot is where the Nan and Pat rivers meet, creating a two-tone water effect with the river bridge as a backdrop. Prices out here are even friendlier than the cafes in town.
Khun Saichon Cafe (Sirikit Dam)
A riverside cafe near the Rabieng Nan restaurant where you sit looking out over the Nan River, with a view of the bridge and the two-tone water spot where the Nan and Pat rivers meet. The morning and evening light is easy on the eyes. The coffee comes in light and dark roasts, plus sandwiches and snacks, with prices starting in the double digits. Free parking out front — it's a popular stop for people visiting the dam.
Rabieng Nan Restaurant–Cafe
In the same zone as Khun Saichon, this is a place where you can have a meal and a coffee both. Same view right on the Nan River — a good fit if you want to wrap up a meal and coffee in one spot after visiting the dam. Prices aren't steep, and it's a quieter pick that locals recommend.
Energy Coffee Roaster (Tha Sao, Nan riverside)
A newer cafe in the Tha Sao area set right on the Nan River on the in-town side, so you get the riverside feel without driving all the way to the dam. The focus is on house-roasted coffee — a good fit if you want the riverside mood but still close to the center. Use it as a backup on days you don't make it out to Tha Pla.
What to know before the dam-side cafes
The cafes on the Sirikit Dam side are about an hour's drive from town, so go in the morning or early afternoon and check the shop's page for opening hours first — many riverside spots close early and some days off aren't fixed. If you'd rather not drive far, Energy Coffee on the Nan River in town gives a close-enough feel and saves the time.
Pick the cafe that fits your day
- Here to work or talk shop for hours — Kamin Dessert Cafe or Chu Cafe, with lots of corners and comfortable seating.
- A real coffee lover after full-on flavor — L R A W's LIT (roasts in-house) or Himmon Drip Coffee.
- Into photos and natural surroundings — NANA FiELD in the rice fields, or Nippon Cafe, Japanese-style by the water.
- Already visiting Sirikit Dam — Khun Saichon Cafe, looking out at the two-tone water and the bridge, and the cheapest of the lot.
- Want the riverside feel without the long drive — Energy Coffee Roaster on the Nan River in town.
The nice thing about Uttaradit's cafes is they're not packed like the big tourist towns — people haven't all caught on yet, prices are friendly, and you can sip your coffee without fighting for a table. Plan it right and you can sip in town in the morning, drive out to sit by the dam in the afternoon, and get both good coffee and a great view in a single day.
