Lat Phrao–Chokchai 4 runs along Lat Phrao and Ratchadaphisek Roads around the Lat Phrao and Phahon Yothin MRT stations. It's a part of Bangkok where people actually live rather than a visitor strip, and its main draw is rooms that cost less than Sukhumvit or Siam while still putting you straight onto the metro. By Phahon Yothin station you can walk to Union Mall and Central Ladprao, both with food courts and a cinema. Over on the Chokchai 4 side and along Soi Lat Phrao, the streets are full of late-night and 24-hour food: rice soup, moo kratha grills, and made-to-order stalls. It's a good fit if you want a lower rate, a real-city feel, and local eating. The trade-off is that some hotels sit deep in a soi, so you'll take a motorbike taxi or the hotel shuttle to the station.

The President Hotel at Chokchai 4

★★★
Cheapest · has a pool · right at Chokchai 4

Sits on Chokchai 4 Soi 57, in exactly the pocket this guide is about. It's very cheap and has an outdoor pool, a gym, and free parking. Reviews praise the friendly staff and a breakfast buffet with plenty of Thai and Western choices. To be straight, though, its overall score is low: some guests hit weak air-conditioning, hot-water problems, and a leaking bathroom. Good if you want the lowest rate and aren't fussy about room condition. It's deep in a soi, so rely on a motorbike taxi or taxi to the station.
