Hotels near
Suvarnabhumi

Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) sits on Bangkok's eastern edge, straddling Lat Krabang and Racha Thewa (Samut Prakan). Most hotels around it are built for connecting passengers, early departures and late arrivals, so the main selling point is the airport shuttle and round-the-clock check-in. Only one hotel is genuinely inside the airport — the Hyatt Regency (formerly the Novotel); the rest bring you in by shuttle from the surrounding area. Below are places we checked are real and genuinely bookable, with real distances to the terminal and straight talk on each shuttle, ordered cheapest to priciest.

FAQ

Which hotel is closest to Suvarnabhumi, within walking distance?

The Hyatt Regency Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (formerly the Novotel) is the only hotel inside the airport, a roughly 5-minute walk to the terminal through an air-conditioned underground passage on the B1 level. It's ideal for a tight connection or a pre-dawn departure when you don't want to risk waiting for a shuttle. Every other hotel sits in the surrounding area and needs a shuttle in.

Is the airport shuttle really free, and do I need to book it ahead?

Most are genuinely free and run 24 hours — Sinsuvarn, The Park Nine, Siam Mandarina, Courtyard by Marriott and the Hyatt Regency among them — but nearly all have limited seats and run on a schedule, so reserve ahead and give your flight number and time. Amaranth runs hourly, roughly 04:30–01:30, and needs a booking with full flight details. The exception is Cozy Blu, whose shuttle is not free — about 750 THB per vehicle each way.

I have a late arrival or short layover — where's a cheap, clean place to sleep near the airport?

For something cheap and clean for a few hours, Sinsuvarn Airport Suite starts around 950 THB, sits about 6 km out and runs a free 24-hour shuttle. Siam Mandarina also offers day-use rooms so you can rest during the day without paying for a full night. If your connection is genuinely tight and you don't want to risk it, paying more to sleep at the in-airport Hyatt Regency removes the shuttle from the equation entirely.
