This half-day route suits anyone who wants to try Kaset-Nawamin at an easy pace, hitting the cafes, the food and the photo corners in one loop. Unlike the rail-connected neighbourhoods, everything here is spread along the Liap Duan expressway and the sois off it — nearby stops are an easy walk, and the longer hops are a five-to-ten-minute Grab ride. It runs from a garden cafe in the late morning, through a community mall, a Vietnamese lunch, house-roasted coffee in the afternoon, a leafy garden break, and finally dinner in a European village — an unhurried five to six hours.

Getting around in a car-first neighbourhood
Kaset-Nawamin differs from the inner-city neighbourhoods in that no train line reaches the expressway itself. The closest is the BTS Green Line at Kasetsart University on the Bang Khen side, from which you take a taxi or Grab in along Praditmanutham Road. Some stops on this plan are walkable to each other (The Walk and Khrua Mueang Hue, for instance), while the longer legs are just a five-to-ten-minute Grab. If you drive yourself it's even smoother, since every stop has free parking.
Adjust the plan to your time and style
The route above runs about five to six hours, but the area stretches and shrinks easily because the venues cluster along one expressway strip. If you have less time or want a different flavour, swap it around like this.
- Only three hours: keep B-Story Garden Cafe → lunch at Khrua Mueang Hue → finish at Chocolate Ville. You still get the cafes, the food and the photo spots in half the time.
- Cafe-focused: drop The Walk and spend the extra time at Plantation and Bankampu — the area is full of garden cafes, so you can keep switching between them.
- With kids or older travellers: stick to the air-conditioned stops with easy parking — The Walk, Bankampu and Chocolate Ville all have seating and restrooms — and drive between stops rather than walking in the sun.
- Prefer an evening version: start at 3pm at Bankampu, stop at Plantation while the light softens, and finish at Chocolate Ville after dark, when the European-village lights are on and it's cooler than midday.
💡 Know before you go: Kaset-Nawamin
No train line reaches the expressway strip here. Get off at BTS Kasetsart University and continue by Grab or taxi, or drive yourself and move between stops. Every stop on this plan has free parking.
Around 600-1,200 baht covering two coffees, the Vietnamese lunch, an afternoon snack and dinner at Chocolate Ville. Add roughly 150-250 baht per person for Grab rides between stops.
Garden cafes are easiest late on a weekday morning. Chocolate Ville is busiest in the early evening at weekends — if you go on a Saturday or Sunday, arrive before 6pm to find a table more easily.
Almost the whole route works indoors — The Walk is a covered mall, and cafes like Plantation and Bankampu have indoor seating. Only the open-air garden areas need a break in the weather.
