GOAT is chef Tan-Pakorn Kosiyabong's restaurant, which opened quietly in a Sino-Portuguese-style townhouse on Ekkamai Soi 10 back in late 2020, then slowly built a name for itself with contemporary Thai food carrying Thai-Chinese undertones — until the MICHELIN Guide Thailand 2026 awarded it both a first MICHELIN Star and a Michelin Green Star in the same year. That green star is rare — only 5 restaurants in the whole of Thailand hold one. What impressed Michelin wasn't just the flavours, but a zero-waste system that runs through the entire operation: every ingredient sourced from small Thai farmers and fishers, food scraps composted and returned to the farms every 3 months, a herb garden on the rooftop, and some of the tableware made from recycled materials like eggshells. Sustainability here isn't a marketing line — it's baked into how this kitchen thinks, from sourcing to what's left over at the end of the night.

The food is served as a tasting menu priced around THB 4,590++ per person. The most talked-about dish is banana-fed duck liver paired with oxtail and watermelon — a combination that sounds unusual on paper but makes complete sense on the plate. There's blue crab with curry and homemade sour cream, taking something familiar and Thai and retelling it; mantis shrimp with pumpkin; and dry-aged Thai wagyu tartare, which drives home just how far Thai ingredients can go in the right hands. The restaurant itself is a small townhouse, so the atmosphere stays intimate and personal. Seating runs between 18:00-19:30, open Wednesday to Sunday only, which keeps each night's guest count genuinely limited.

A few things worth knowing before you go: the name plays off the restaurant's Facebook page, facebook.com/greatestofalltimebkk, which makes the team's ambition pretty clear. Children aged 8 and up are welcome, and there's a separate kids' menu at THB 1,590. If you'd like to bring your own wine, corkage is THB 1,000++. Anyone with food allergies needs to give at least 24 hours' notice — the kitchen can adapt to vegetarian, but not vegan or gluten-free. Since the star and green star announcement in late 2025, tables have become noticeably harder to get, so plan to book at least 1-2 weeks ahead, especially for Friday-Saturday nights, which fill up faster than the rest of the week.
