If there's one restaurant that proves Indian cuisine can go further than most Thai diners ever imagined, INDDEE is the name to know first. This contemporary Indian tasting-menu restaurant is tucked inside a fully restored townhouse over a hundred years old, down a quiet alley off Soi Langsuan. Running the kitchen is chef Sachin Poojary, who once held the Chef de Cuisine seat at Wasabi by Morimoto in New York. That level of fine-dining experience gives him a different lens on Indian food entirely — not big trays of curry with hot naan, but a story of ingredients and regions told through small, precise plates, one at a time. MICHELIN clearly agrees with this direction: after the restaurant launched its revamped "third chapter" menu on 31 July 2025, the Thailand 2026 guide promptly promoted INDDEE from 1 star to 2 stars — solid confirmation that the path the restaurant has taken is paying off.
The heart of the meal here is the "Journey" concept, which takes diners across India's regions without ever boarding a plane. There are two lengths to choose from: the 8-Destination Journey at THB 4,200++, or the full 10-Destination Journey at THB 4,900++, and good news for non-meat eaters — there's a vegetable version of the long course too, also at THB 4,200++. Given Indian cuisine's deep-rooted vegetarian tradition, the vegetable version here isn't a fallback option, it's a menu built with genuine intent. Another thing that sets INDDEE apart from typical starred restaurants is wine — the restaurant's wine program has already won Star Wine List of the Year in 2023, followed by a Wine Spectator award in 2024. Anyone who likes their food paired with wine has one more reason to come.
Part of the charm is the house itself. The two-storey townhouse is divided into a regular dining area, a chef's table for watching the kitchen work up close, and private rooms for meals you'd rather keep to a small group. The atmosphere feels less like walking into a fancy restaurant and more like being invited to someone's home for dinner. The restaurant is open daily from 17:30 to 23:30, and while the price climbs to match its 2-star status (MICHELIN lists the all-in per-head band at THB 5,000–9,999), compared with restaurants at the same level in other Asian cities, a dinner in this old house still feels worth every baht.
INDDEE
Budget per head starts with the 8-Destination Journey course at THB 4,200++, or the 10-Destination Journey at THB 4,900++ (vegetable version THB 4,200++), not including drinks. Add the award-winning Star Wine List wine pairing and the all-in budget MICHELIN lists runs about THB 5,000–9,999 per person. Booking is easiest through the SevenRooms system on the reservations page of inddeebkk.com, or you can call +66 62 812 9696 or email reservations@inddeebkk.com. Since the promotion to 2 stars in the 2026 guide, Friday–Saturday seats have been disappearing noticeably faster — book at least 1–2 weeks ahead, and if you want the chef's table or a private room, request it when you book.
The restaurant is open daily 17:30–23:30, in the Langsuan/Chit Lom area, about a 9-minute walk from BTS Ratchadamri. Worth knowing: the restaurant sits down a small alley off Soi Langsuan, so allow an extra 5 minutes to find the entrance; parking is available for anyone driving. The best slot is the first seating, 17:30–18:00, so you can take your time through every course of the long journey without rushing.
