From the Charoen Krung riverfront to the heart of Yaowarat, this is a few blocks that pack in more Michelin stars and Bib Gourmands than anywhere else in Bangkok. This guide lays it out as a real walking route, riverside fine-dining first, then Talat Noi and Song Wat, ending with hot braised goose in Chinatown. You get what to order at each stop, which need booking, and which you just walk into.

Start Riverside: Côte, Sushi Saito, Aksorn
From BTS Saphan Taksin it's a 10–15 minute riverside walk to the Charoen Krung waterfront, the most upscale end of this crawl. Côte by Mauro Colagreco, the two-star inside Capella Bangkok, is stop one. The Carte Blanche 9-course dinner runs about ฿7,800, but the smart move is the Wed–Sun Escapade lunch at around ฿3,300, the same two-star kitchen for less than half the price.
In the same pocket sits Sushi Saito, the Edomae omakase at Four Seasons Private Residences, where the lunch seating (about ฿5,800++) is far cheaper than the roughly ฿10,500++ dinner. Ten minutes north up Charoen Krung is Aksorn, a one-star reviving post-war Thai recipes from vintage cookbooks. All three need advance booking, and Aksorn serves dinner only, daily 18:00–22:00.
Into Talat Noi: 80/20 and Samlor
Walk inland toward Talat Noi (about 10 minutes, or hop off at MRT Hua Lamphong) and you hit two very different rooms. 80/20 is the one-star doing a 14-course modern Thai tasting with Lao influences at ฿4,500++, capped by fermentation-driven desserts from pastry chef Saki Hoshino. It's reservation-only and weekend seats book weeks out.
A short stroll away, Samlor is the Bib Gourmand playing with Thai drinking food. Order the soufflé-style Thai omelette (khai fu) at ฿380 and the braised-pork krapow rice at ฿250–280, with most plates landing ฿250–400. Book via TableCheck; weekend lunch (Sat–Sun) is easier to land than dinner, and it's closed Tuesdays.
On to Song Wat and Chinatown: Urai Braised Goose
Thread through Song Wat Road and the Chinatown lanes, about 5–7 minutes and close to MRT Wat Mangkon, to reach Urai Braised Goose. This Bib Gourmand serves Teochew braised goose over rice: a small plate is ฿250 (good for 1–2), medium ฿420, large ฿840, rice ฿10, Chinese tea free. Cash only.
No booking here, but there are two shifts: 10:00–13:00 (Sun until 12:00) and 16:00–19:00, and it often sells out before closing. Come for the 10:00 opening, because queues form by 12:30 even on weekdays. Braised goose intestines are Wednesday and Saturday only.
Finish in Yaowarat: Potong and the Street Stalls
The last pin is Potong, the one-star set in a restored building in the Sampheng/Song Wat quarter, just 6 minutes from MRT Wat Mangkon. Its "5 senses, 5 elements" tasting menu runs about ฿6,300++ per person (rising to ฿6,700++ from 1 August 2026), with the first seating at 15:30 and the last at 20:30 over 2.5–3 hours. It's booking-only and fills fast since reopening after renovation.
The bonus of ending here is that once you leave the fine-dining table, Yaowarat's legendary street stalls are just a few minutes' walk away, an easy place to keep going for dessert or a late snack.
Book Ahead vs Walk In: Plan Before You Set Off
All five starred rooms on this route need advance booking: Côte (SevenRooms or via Capella Bangkok), Sushi Saito (TableCheck), Aksorn (SevenRooms), 80/20 (TableCheck), and Potong (Chope on the official site). Weekend slots go weeks ahead, so lock your dates and seatings first, then slot the easier stops in between.
Among the Bibs, Samlor books through TableCheck with a deposit, while Urai Braised Goose is walk-in only, cash only, and best hit early. The trick to sequencing the crawl is to build it around whichever fine-dining seatings you can get, then walk the casual spots between courses.
