Vana Nava Water Jungle sits in the Nong Kae area, in Hua Hin town, Prachuap Khiri Khan province. It's a jungle-themed water park with more than 19 water rides set among trees and man-made waterfalls. What families like is how clearly it's split by age: little ones have their own shallow area, older kids and teens get a range of slides from gentle to fast and scary, and parents can float the lazy river or wade in the wave pool. Everyone in the family ends up with a spot of their own on the same day. And because it's all water rides, there are no animal shows or animal activities to weigh up here.
Highlights for kids
The appeal for families is that each age has its own corner, so kids aren't competing with adults for the same rides. These are the zones and attractions children tend to love most.
- Vana Wonderland + Rain Fortress (kids' zone) — shallow water with lots of small, colourful slides, fountains, water sprays and a giant tipping bucket that dumps water on a timer. It's the favourite for little ones and is kept separate from the adult area.
- Coconut Beach (wave pool) — a beach-style pool that releases waves in sets; older kids enjoy the waves while toddlers paddle at the shallow edge.
- Lazy River — a lazy river over 345 metres long, drifting on a ring through mock caves and jungle landscaping; relaxed enough to ride alongside your child.
- Abyss — the largest slide in Thailand, shaped like a giant funnel and ridden in a group ring; the headline ride for older kids and teens who meet the height requirement.
- Boomerango and the bigger slides — a set of long, fast slides to pick from according to nerve; little ones can't ride these yet as there's a minimum height.
- All water rides, no animal shows — the whole park is slides, pools and splash zones, with no animal performances or animal rides to think twice about.
Tips for visiting with kids
A weekday morning is best — the sun isn't harsh yet and it's less crowded, so kids can play freely before the park fills up on weekend afternoons. Put swimwear on at your hotel to save time, and bring water shoes, a hat and water-resistant sunscreen to reapply through the day. Most importantly, measure your child's height before you go, since the bigger slides have a minimum height — that way you'll know in advance which rides they can go on.
Before you go
- Opening hours — generally open daily around 11:00–17:00 (hours can shift by season or during special events, so check the official page before you go).
- Approximate entry — adults around ฿950–1,000 (122 cm and taller), children around ฿450–600 (91–121 cm), seniors 60+ at the child rate, and children under 91 cm usually free. Booking online in advance is often cheaper than at the counter. Prices are approximate — check the latest before buying.
- Getting there — it's on Phetkasem Road in the Nong Kae area, within Hua Hin town. From the town centre it's a short taxi, motorbike-taxi or drive/rental-car ride away, and there's parking at the park.
- Suitable ages — toddlers from around 2–3 years up can enjoy the shallow Vana Wonderland zone, while the big slides suit older kids and teens who meet the height rule. So the whole family can go, just in different zones.
Safety and value
A water park is safer than the sea on a rough day, but you still need to watch your child at all times, even in shallow water. Put weaker swimmers in a life vest in the wave pool, and check heights before every big slide. On value, tickets here cost more than a small local water park, but there are lots of rides and you can play all day — if you plan to stay from opening until late afternoon it's good value. Check the current prices and opening hours on the official website or page before you set off, as figures and promotions change with the season.
